Fine session
Scorecard

Greenies Too's took on Chillies at JPO on Saturday which provided us with a much needed victory as we head into the second half of the season.  After being the first Greenie at the ground at 11:15am for the noon start I was shocked to find the whole Chillies team changed and sprinting laps round the ground in an apparent warmup.  After losing the toss and being told we were fielding, we took to the ground one short, with Johnny Pang on his way because of car trouble.  When he finally turned up to the ground, he had a police escort and a $200 speeding fine for his trouble.

Our bowling started off a bit erratically, with Red & Dogga troubling the batsmen, but they were still able to get a fair few runs due to some edges and a few wides.  After a couple of catches going through the slips cordon, they both got a wicket each and were trying to stem the flow of runs.  After first drinks at 15 overs, Chillies were looking pretty comfortable at 2 for 93 and we needed a wicket.  After drinks however, we took control and there was a steady flow of wickets to have them at 7 for 128.  They then compiled a 33 run partnership before McGrath took the first Greenies Too hat-trick seen for a long time, with a stumping, bowled and an LBW.  Looking forward to him trying to get a double with his first ball next game!  So we left the field chasing 161 which we were fairly confident of getting given the conditions.

Our batting started horribly, with us losing two early wickets to be 2 for 8 in the third over.  From here Steve and I took the score to 39 before he was adjudged LBW for 13 off 31.  Dogga and I then consolidated the innings and even though he was as scratchy as a worm & flea ridden ginger cat, we got through the first 20 overs, with Dogga 5 off 35.  After this, with the run rate required getting to 5 an over, we started to find the singles and put away the bad balls to have them changing bowlers constantly for no success.  When I got caught to a horrible cut shot on 49 off 64, we had taken the score from 39 to 133 and were looking good.  Dogga then was out LBW for 54 off 81, a superb performance given the situation we were in.  Wareo and Bigwood then took us home, scoring 12 and 7 respectively, getting there with just over 3 overs to spare.

After a quick trip to the bottleo to get some more supplies, the fine session was short and sharp, with myself and Johnny Pang  being fined for numerous indiscretions.  He didn't take much to the rum, cottage cheese and lime concoction and sprayed red with one shot which was a highlight.

POTD - McGraths hat-trick
MOTM - Myself for 49

COTD - Johnny Pang - arrived late and made 1 run.
