No detailed report necessary. Prison batted
first and put on 227 on another flat pitch. The middle overs they milked the
runs and we couldn’t get a wicket and it was a good fightback in the end to
restrict them to that total with two of their batsman passing 80 and 90.
Tommy had the best bowling figures mopping up at the end under pressure with
3-30. In a fair indication of how the flow of the day went, Chris Troskie on
debut had his webbing split and broke his hand fielding a return. Good
news... it was revealed the following day he would not need it pinned; bad
news... he is out for 10 weeks.
The batting less should be said about. All out
for 72. 4 of 6 in the top order bowled on a pitch doing nothing has to be a
concern, the rest got ourselves out.
MVP – Tommy – for passion
Play of the Day – Jacko took an outstanding outfield
catch.
Should note here that Tommy took an even better catch landing
heavily on the boundary rope and was duly fined for parrying the ball for
6.
COTY – Watto for all round shit display including dropping a
sitter, was some debate though whether the whole team should be fined for same
award. Was deemed to be not enough beers to have 11 downed in
one.
